When something alerts,& scares, us such as a sharp unexpected noise, our first reaction is to stop what we were doing, & turn towards the source. We freeze in place, or we take flight response of fleeing the situation. It is the reptilian, which is located at the base part of the brain that guards us from impending perceive threats, or danger. It is this part of the brain that gives us anxiety & an automatic response to flee the situation.


There is currently a book about fear of flying that  will be written, and exercises for people who have an anxiety about flying. Let me tell you about the future author of this book who knows a lot about this subject because he is a pilot. He has been flying for over 20 years, and have a background as a Captain on various jet aircraft. Since the birth of aviation people have always had a fear of flying. Flying is something that anyone could over come. People that fly tend to fall into three categories. One group is people who is not afraid to fly, people who fly but don't care for it, and the last group is people who have such a fear of flying they can't even bring themselves to go to an airport. What most people fail to remember is millions fly every year safely across the world with just a few incidents yearly. We had the safest years in aviation in many years. The good news is that its expected to remain that way. With new technology, better pilot training & checking, we have been able to cut down both accidents, & incidents. But yet, people still have anxiety & doubt about overcoming their fear of flying. They don't realized they may have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is caused by fear,& apprehension when it comes to dealing with minor things,& excessive proccupation with things out of your control. People with anxiety feel that worrying is beyond their control. But its not, you can learn to control it! Anxieties, & fear of flying is real, serious, and treatable. Its importance to know that you can overcome fear of flying. You must learn to condition your brain to modify & gain control over unwanted behavior. I teach these techniques in my dvd. There are several types of anxiety disorders. GAD is the most common one.

Panic Disorder (PD) which are people who have sudden, and unpredictable episodes of panic attacks.

Phobia- phobia is an intense fear about a particular situation. It could be a fear of heights, fear of taking off, or closed spaces. You could learn to overcome your fear of flying of a particular situation by learning to have more control.
